Update on Life

So I realize I'm awful at updating my blog. So you will now gets months worth of updates. First, we finally got a house, and we love it. We went on vacation in July to DC, VA, & PA. It was fun.

Our niece Sophie turned 1 in June and our nephew Ronan was born in April. they are both so cute. Now we just need one of our own!

Danielle got married, and we had fun seeing all the family again. Jason is great for her, and we are excited they found each other, although they are living in VA which is crappy. I finally get an inlaw and I won't ever even him.

We may be moving to Montana in a few years. We are going up to Kalispel this weekend to check things out and get a feel for the place. Hopefully I fall in love with it, otherwise I am going to have a hard time living there without my family.

We are excited that the football season is upon us again. We love football. GO UTES!!

That's about it for now. I will try to update again soon.

Buying a house

YAY! We finally are in the process of buying a house! When we first told my cousin (who is my Realtor) that we wanted to buy a house, everyone was so excited and telling us how easy of a process it is and that we would find a house quickly because the market is a buyers market. My cousin's wife gave me the best and most realistic view of buying a house, which is, it can be a long and emotional process espeically when you find a house you love and you don't get it. That in a nutshell is exactly what happened to us. We have been looking for a house since Dec and kept putting offers on homes, but we were always outbid or the home went to foreclosure. I was sad quite a few times that we didn't get a home we had put an offer on, but we were blessed to get the home we did at the time we did. Even though I am pretty sure I don't want to go through all of that again, I am grateful for the lessons I learned. Which are: 1- Heavenly Father takes care of you, even if you don't like the timing, 2- House huting is HARD, 3- House hunting is emotional, and 4- I am so grateful that I dont' have to move around a lot.

Moving on back!

My parents were finally able to sell their home in NJ, so its official they are moving back to Utah. They will both be here by the end of June. I'm so excited for them to be back. It was a good 7 years for them to be away, but now that there are grand kids around, we need them here.

Update

So I've had a few people point out that I haven't updated my blog in a while. So, even though nothing has changed in our lives right now, I'm posting something new. Jeremy is working tons because of busy season, and I'm working quite a bit as well because its my busy season. I'm getting ready to take a business trip to IA the first week of April and another trip the third week to FL. We are still waiting to purchase a house. We have 3 offers on homes right now, and are waiting to hear back from the banks to see if our offers are accepted. The home I really really like and want is in West Jordan, but it will be a while before we know anything. Other than that, we are just haning out and enjoying life!

House Hunting

Jeremy & I are in the process of searching for a house. No one tells you how exhausting it is! I swear we have seen at least 50 homes and the homes we have put offers on, we either get out bid, or have to wait a long time to get a response from the bank. I'm so ready to move! I can't wait to be able to paint any color I want, make as much noise as late as I want, and have to have more than one bathroom! If/when we get a house, I'll let you know!

DC

In July 2008, I had to go to DC for work. Jeremy tagged along with me to make a vacation out of it. We had a lot of fun touring around DC and hanging out with Miss, Ryan, Tiff, Emily, & Cailen. It was an exhausting trip since I had to work most of the time, but it was still a lot of fun. We got to see a lot of the monuments and a few museums. I don't like DC in the summer though, its way too hot and humid. DC is a really cool city though. I would love to go back again someday.

BYU vs UTAH

Danny, Derek, Jeremy & I had season tickets to the Utah Football 2008 season. It was an AWESOME season. The Utes when 13-0, with awesome wins against TCU, Michigan, BYU, Oregon State, and the best of all Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. There's nothing better than a beatiful fall day watching Ute football. GO UTES!!

Twilight Movie Premier

In November, a few of us went to the Twilight movie premier to show how fanantic we are about the books. We had a great time! Although, we did get a little scared for a little while because somehow we ended up one ticket short, and thanks to the charming ways of Laura, Rose & Shea, we were able to purchase the last seat in the show. We ended up squeezing on the row so no one had to sit alone. All in all, it was a great movie (not as good as the books) and an awesome night!!

Starting a blog

So everyone has been raving lately about how fun it is to have a blog, myspace profile, facebook profile, etc and so I finally decided that I should start a blog, especially because I like to see others. It makes me feel in the loop with their lives even though I don't necessarily see them all the time. So this blog really will be like the super duper fun Christmas letters you receive from your distant relatives every year. I hope you enjoy seeing Jeremy & I's adventures through this blog.
